Communication While On Your Cruise

 While on your cruise, you may want to use the phone, email some friends and family, or simply browse the internet for whatever reason.

To be quite honest, the best thing you can do on your cruise is simply not use these things (for a number of reasons, including relaxing!).

If you must use them however, here's how to do it:

  • Never, never, never use the services provided on the ship.  They are hugely overpriced, and you'll sorely regret using them!
  • If you can, wait until you reach the next port.  Nearly every port you encounter will have cheap internet and phone access nearby.
  • If you don't think you'll survive between port stops, get your mobile phone switched to 'roaming' before you leave for your cruise.  Even that is cheaper than the ships services.
