Book Your Own Shore Trips While On Your CruiseOne of the big costs when taking a cruise vacation is all the shore trips. When you stop into various ports and other locations, there will always be a bunch of activities offered. Scuba diving, treks, tours ... you name it! Going on these various excursions is great and very worthwhile (don't think you need to skip it), but they can add up to a huge increase in the cost of your trip if you're not careful. The trips are expensive for one reason... ...both the excursion operator and the cruise line want to make a profit. If you go with the trips or excursions offered by the cruise line, then they will obviously get a cut of the price you pay.
