Cruise
Ships
Cruise ships
are not what they were in the past…
They have
evolved into something spectacular! Now a very popular
vacation option, cruise ships offer something for everyone –
singles, couples, families, young and old.
Cruise ships
are large beasts and vary wildly from cruise line to cruise
line, so do your research first.
Caribbean cruises in
particular are becoming very popular. Cruise ships are also available for
large scale fishing trips among the Islands. A tour guide
can provide information on all of these amazing
opportunities.
Cruise ships
are offering usually more options and more attractions for
your vacation than each hotel.
Cruise ships
are not generally required to have medical facilities or
doctors on board, although you will typically find a nurse’s
station and a first aid station on board. There are some
basic over the counter medications that are generally
stocked in the gift shop on the cruise ship, but these
generally have a cost attached that is much higher than what
you would have spent on land.
Cruise ships
are one of the hottest travel entertainers today, but
unfortunately, when it comes to obtaining a passport, there
are many individuals who wait until the last minute. Last
minute passports can be obtained in the event of an
emergency, but most require at least a week or more to
process.
Safety
Cruise ships
are among of the safest forms of transportation. From 2003
to 2005 - a period in which 31 million people took cruises -
there were only 206 safety complaints, including 24 missing
persons.
Cruise ships are
literally floating cities that provide some of the same
services that small cities or towns provide to their
citizens. These vessels can carry as many as 3,000
passengers and crew members, and often operate in pristine
coastal waters.
Cruise ships
are also relatively easy to "contain"; that is, it's easy to
control access to the ships. When a ship is in port only
passengers and crew can enter through one or two controlled
access points, where ship's security personnel can check
IDs, manifests and such.
Cruise ships
are required to follow strict environmental regulations that
ensure that treated sewage and wastewater from showers,
sinks and kitchen galleys are discharged properly at
designated offshore perimeters. In fact, cruise line waste
management is so highly regarded that cruise lines are often
consulted by state governments on pollution abatement and
sewage control.

Getting A Job On A Cruise
Ship
Cruise ships
are basically floating hotels, so job vacancies are similar
to a big 5 star hotel, holiday park or fancy resort.
People are lining up for
Caribbean cruises.
You can see
all kinds of Caribbean resorts, drive surf, all while you
are sailing through the ocean and drinking a coffee on your
large verandah watching the sunrise and feeling the ocean
breeze on your face.
Cruise ships
are sort of 5 star hotels that are sailing along on the
waters. In short, a cruise liner would try to offer almost
all the facilities that it can, in order to capture and
retain as many customers as possible.
